Other Groups Meeting at Bethesda
Bethesda Church is frequently used by local groups that meet there regularly. Church members also use the church hall to celebrate special birthdays or anniversaries in the form of a barn dance or family party when those who attend provide contributions to a chosen charity instead of giving presents.

Bethesda Toddler's Groups may be used by any Mums, Dads, Grandparents and carers with children of pre-school age whether or not they are members at Bethesda. The groups meet during term time on Mondays and Thursdays from 9.30 - 11.30. There are no paid organisers; the group is run by the parents which helps to keep subscriptions very low. Activities are many and varied and suited to the ages and needs of the children. Quite often the toddlers hold their birthday parties on church premises. The toddler's group is supported by the Minister and lady members of the church who arrange for refreshments. |
This friendly group meets fortnightly to provide fun for the children, and friendship, help and support for the parents and families of twins. The group currently has children aged from 4 weeks to 3 years; siblings are very welcome. The hall is set up to have a play area and a quiet area. There are lots of toys for the children to play with, and those who are old enough sit down together for drink and a biscuit. Individual support is also available. This 'drop-in' centre for Visually Impaired People meets on most Thursday afternoons from 2-4 pm. Bethesda facilitates these sessions but members organise their own activities and offer mutual help and support. With light refreshments the VIPs provide a lot of fun and generate much laughter. There are some outdoor activities and some members arrange holidays together with some sighted car's 'in tow'. Church members offer support if necessary but Cheltenham VIPs are very independent! |
This is a very talented group which provides great entertainment and has even travelled abroad. A proportion of the funds raised at its regular concerts is donated to charity and the group provided valuable support to the church when it was being refurbished. |

The Cheltenham Choral Society is a larger choir of talented folk who meet on Wednesday evenings at 7.30. |
The National Trust uses the premises
on the first Thursday afternoon of each month over the winter
season (October-March). |
