Bethesda is a caring church and aims to give at least 10% of its income to help various causes and provides funds to a variety of organisations at home and abroad.

Regular recipients include donations to Methodist organisations including Home Mission, Property, Relief & Development, Homes, & World Mission. Other organisations included A Rocha, Bible Society, Christian Ecology Link, Churches Together, Glos Historic Churches Trust, Glos Wildlife Trust, Langley House Trust, Listening Post and Samaritans.

Special collections are also made for Christian Aid, the Tsunami Appeal, Open Door, MRDF Hurricane Appeal, National Chidlrens Home, AIDs work in South Africa and Tools for Self Reliance.
