Bethesda Youth Group
Sunday evening at 7:30pm

BYG, Bethesda Youth Group, has been running now for about 8 years and has continued to grow in faith and be shaped by the power of God. Through BYG several young people have made the commitment of faith to Jesus and become members of the Methodist Church.

The group meets every Sunday evening at 7:30 and finishes around 9:30. There is usually a topic for discussion each week as well as plenty of time just to meet and share, as well as have a cup of coffee (tea/blackcurrant juice/water). We study different general subjects and before each term the weeks are planned out by Loo, Keith and some of the older members (and one who just won’t leave!). Prayer forms an important part of this process and we try to follow where God is leading the group and really encourage the faith of the members to grow.

BYG also isn’t limited to Sunday evenings as there are frequently other activities ranging from bowling to sleeping rough on the streets to highlight the plight of the homeless. We also are deeply concerned with the world that we live in and strive to alert not just the church and community, but also government leaders about problems that the world faces. We have raised money to save rain forest from destruction, to provide shelters for people in Africa and campaigned against 3rd World Debt by making and taking a 70 meter paper chain to 10 Downing Street.

| John 3 v3 |
In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see
the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
